The ability to publish daily video and news updates in multiple languages from Valencia was a prime requirement for the Emirates Team New Zealand website.

The other exciting challenge was to create a design that clearly expressed the dynamic ETNZ style and seamlessly incorporated sponsor branding.

Out front: effective design and easy-to-use navigation

The web design we developed has a clear, easy-to-use navigation smoothly integrated with team branding. Branding and photography are used effectively to communicate the team personality.

Sponsors' logos are featured prominently and yet well-integrated within the full page design.

Simple, readable page design allowed the content management team in Valencia flexibility within a clear structure. This kept the pages looking good even when different types of content were added.

Behind the scenes: dynamic content

For the initial site developed in 2006 we designed a custom content management system which allowed the team of writers and photographers in Valencia to upload and manage news in English and Spanish. Within this system, a gallery component was built to format and resize images and manage video content.
For easier software maintenance and management this custom system has been re-developed using Umbraco CMS.Twitter is now used to send quick updates, photos, and video to the site as well.

The media resource section has allowed registered publishers to download hi-res image content and press releases for use in publication.
