Digital Signage Software

// Intellicast sequencer

Intellicast sequencer and player is a digital signage system developed by Phosphor which is customised for use on touchscreen kiosks as well as standalone systems.

There are four simple steps to publishing content.

Step 1: Import Media to the Library

Once a piece of media is imported into the library, it can be used again and again. More on adding media to the library.

Features:

  • Media files are added by a drag-and-drop interface, making the process quick and simple.
  • Wide range of media types supported, including Video, Graphics, PDF, and Flash
  • Frequently used media groups can be saved for quick access.
  • Ability to scale media files
  • Exciting image transitions
  • A simple rich text editor to overlay scrolling text

Step 2: Create a sequence

Creating a sequence is easy: you specify the items to play, and the times or order to play them in. More on creating a digital signage sequence.

Features:

  • Sequences can be specified to apply on a certain date, within a period or day of the week within a period
  • Choices of displaying a media item within a period of time or for a certain number of times
  • Ability to edit existing schedules
  • A compulsory "Background Item" in each sequence - the media item to be played when there is no other media items scheduled at that point in time
  • Sequences are in XML format to ensure cross-platform compatibility

Step 3: Distribute the sequence

Once a sequence is created, it is sent to each player. Players collect the sequence and then download any content which is needed.

Features:

  • Players can be grouped into segments for ease of distribution.
  • Transfer is via https request for security.
  • Content is not downloaded unless needed

Step 4: Monitor player status

Using the monitoring software, the administrator can check the status of all players.

Reporting:

  • File download status
  • Schedule playing
  • Player status
