Mobile Web Development
// The number of people viewing websites on mobile devices - iPhones, smart phones & iPads is growing daily
As more and more people are using mobile devices to view websites, there is an expectation that websites will just 'work'. While many sites work reasonably well, the experience, especially on smart phones, can often be improved by presenting a different layout for mobile. Try having a look at the Phosphor site on a phone - the phone layout is different from the normal browser layout.
Websites which use Flash as navigation, or those which allow Flash ads to cover content, are frustratingly unusable on iPads and iPhones. Many Flash functions are easy to replace using Javascript or HTML5, giving a good experience to users of mobile and standard browsers.
For websites where the purpose is to complete a task like a purchase, you may choose to develop a specially designed web page which focuses on the purchase process and offers an easier to use interface.
Give us a call or fill in the contact form if you would like to look at how your website can be improved to work with smartphones.
